Account Executives are assigned specific clients based on their experience or area of expertise. They craft releases, coordinate with media/influencers and create and implement the overall communication plan. Essentially, they aim to generate a buzz around their clients and promote the positive image of the company or individual they are representing across different media outlets, including print, online and broadcast media channels.
Responsibilities:
- Manages day-to-day communications with clients
- Writes press releasesPitches to local and national media
- Manages media relationsMonitors media coverage
- Brainstorms creative ideas for clients
- Creates quarterly client plansArranges interviews + editorial meetings with key journalists and spokespeople
- Attends client events when applicable
- Schedules media + influencers experiences
- Sends clip emails to client
- Degree in PR, marketing, communications, business, or English
- Ideally, 2-3 years of job experience preferably at a PR agency or in journalism, marketing, event production, communications, etc.
- Possess creative ability and strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to plan effectively, multi-task and prioritize
- Possess good interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Cision
- Confident in public speaking and presentationsProactive and professional
- Bi-lingual (Spanish-speaking) is a plus
