TURNER, a national award-winning boutique integrated marketing, public relations and digital communications firm, is looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our lifestyle team based in either our Denver or New York office to support our growing roster of retail, active, outdoor and lifestyle brands.
The Senior Account Executive is responsible for driving results through daily media relations and pitching. Leveraging our team of creative thinkers, this candidate will maintain existing relationships with relevant media, influencers, stylists and partner conduits. The position requires knowledge and experience activating in local markets across the U.S. This position also requires the flexibility to travel up to 30 percent of the time, as needed.
Account and Client Management:
-Ability to manage and lead client relationships as key point of contact through meetings, conference calls, events and general contact
-Manages account execution, final copywriting edits and deadlines
-Oversees development of media relations strategy and pitch calendar
-Management and execution of trade relations and trade shows
-Works with the team to develop PR plans, strategy and big thinking for clients
-Understands and prioritizes the objectives of each client; anticipates needs in advance
Media + Influencer Relations:
-Maintains strong relationships with top tier national lifestyle, local market and business media
-Contributes 75 percent of time to media/influencer relations and pitching to maximize client coverage
-Writes client collateral, which includes but is not limited to: press releases, media alerts, photo captions, pitches, bios and fact sheets
-Utilizes media relationships to secure consistent and quality placements on clients' behalf
Our Ideal Candidate:
-At least 4 years of public relations experience in agency
-Agency experience preferred in the lifestyle, active, outdoor and fashion landscape
-Proven ability to secure consistent, high-quality media coverage with solid media relationships
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
-Experience managing at least 1-2 team members (interns count) to complete tasks
-Understanding of execution for media tours/trips, desk sides, and events
-Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
-Proficiency using Cision/Cisionpoint, TrendKite, news wires, Keynote and MS applications
