About the Role 

We’re in search of a full-time Account Executive or Senior Account Executive (to be determined by experience) to support our high-profile brand portfolio. Our ideal candidate is a pop culture enthusiast who has PR and media relations experience in music, tech and/or consumer tech. Hard work, drive, organization, "heart," an ease for taking direction and working collaboratively with others are essential qualities. Because we are a start-up, the hands-on experience will be rich with opportunity.

Responsibilities 

Track and monitor press clippings, and oversee sample trafficking

Develop and implement the public relations strategy, draft press releases and media alerts, respond to all emails and phone calls from the press, and build influencer and press relationships

Assist with events, plan press presentations, assist with seasonal product mailings and gift orders, and maintain media lists

Oversee media library, clips, and scans, generate reports, and remain current of industry trends on all media platforms 

Requirements:

Required Skills/Experience

2-5+ years of media relations experience

Experience managing day-to-day client service and project management of large, multi-channel brands with a wide range of internal and external partners; QSR experience is highly valued

Highly proficient and passionate about all aspects of media relations and story development - you understand what generates news and how to adapt a pitch/angle to a local news writer vs. national beat reporter; experience with local media relations is a plus

Experience successfully running simultaneous workstreams (both planning and execution)

Ability to quickly grasp business needs and priorities, trending topics, and connect the dots in order to build timely media opportunities and strategies for clients

Excellent writing and editorial skills for media-facing materials and content for clientsExperience in b2b and thought leadership comms

Experience with industry, product and innovation storytelling 

Experience engaging with and presenting to mid-to senior-level clients

Outstanding judgment when working with media, team members, client contacts, and vendorsVery organized with unfailing attention to detail

Proactive, positive, polite, resourceful, and able to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment
