POSITION OVERVIEW: M18 is currently seeking a director to contribute to client work on some of the leading hospitality and food & beverage projects in the country.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Spearhead from immersion an effective press campaign — including the creation of press assets, client coordination and team management Develop client strategies and creative story angles while securing coverage in print and online media outlets Lead client interactions on a daily basis and keep them informed of M18’s initiatives and progress Create and/or edit press materials and other collateral for M18 and for clients Assist in the development and mentoring of junior staff in the hospitality group Maintain strong relationships on behalf of the company with the media who cover our areas of focus Develop accurate, relevant and timely content for pitches and media distribution based upon our portfolio of clients and their needs Manage daily workflow across multiple projects and account teams Produce strategy recommendations in a timely and efficient manner Understand each client’s brand strategy and develop a PR program, including appropriate message points, that aligns with the brand platform and target market Ensure a collaborative environment that fosters and values partnerships, diversity and differing perspectives 

Requirements:

 REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:   7+ years of relevant PR experience (hospitality, food, travel, design, lifestyle) Great storytelling, writing and presentation skills Strong editorial contacts in all relevant media Strong attention to detail and interpersonal communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines or priorities Ability to balance strategy with execution Desire to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment Personal interest and passion in the world of Hospitality 

SALARY: $100-115K
