-Build media and other lists

-Monitor media trends and coverage as directed

-Gather background materials for releases, pitches, partnerships, creative ideas, events and other PR initiatives

-Draft select pitches and press release after at least 2 months of employment

-Conduct select media outreach after at least 2 months of employment

-Provide administrative support such as clipping; drafting clip memos, reports, maintain RSVP lists, and more

-Maintain library by filing and distributing publications

-Other projects as assigned

-Assist at events as needed

-Attend in-house trainings


-Bachelor’s degree in Public relations, Communications, Journalism or English.

-At least one year of PR internship experience.

-Have a strong interest in public relations as a career (not advertising, marketing or event planning). This position is designed for candidates who feel strongly about working in public relations and wants to develop career in an agency setting. Experience with travel, real estate or food, wine & spirits is a plus.  

-Available a minimum of 40 hours per week.

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

-Team player, willing to take on any task, large or small. Must also be proactive, organized and have the ability to multi-task.

-Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.
