HL Group is a dynamic, fast-growing, New York-based Communications, PR, and Marketing Consulting firm. The firm specializes in marketing and communications strategies across a broad spectrum of industries. We are seeking an Senior Manager or Account Director to join the Consumer/Lifestyle team, overseeing a comprehensive client roster including wine & spirits, hospitality, luxury lifestyle, and consumer products.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
-Drive media relations efforts, including outreach to top-tier outlets, develop story angles, secure editorial features and news items.
-Draft press releases, pitches, and other supporting media materials as necessary.
-Assist in development and execution of communications strategies to appropriately position wine & spirits, hospitality and consumer lifestyle clients across the media landscape.
-Assist in development of annual or quarterly integrated PR plans.
-Contribute to client projects from the brainstorm/ideation phase to plan development, execution and reporting.
-Liaise and work alongside partner teams within the agency as well as client partner agencies.
-Contribute to monthly, project or event reporting and recaps across all clients.
-Report to Senior Director, with oversight from Consumer/Lifestyle team Vice Presidents.
-Minimum 4-5 years of experience on the agency or client side; deep lifestyle, wine & spirits, hospitality or consumer experience. Luxury experience a plus.
-Strong media relationships across categories including wine & spirits, luxury lifestyle, hospitality, etc., a must as well as the ability to network and foster new media relationships on an ongoing basis.
-Relationships within wine & spirits, lifestyle, luxury and consumer media on both a national and regional level.
-Strong writing, exceptional interpersonal, networking, and verbal/written communications skills.
-Project management experience a plus, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
-2~3 years of management experience, including the ability to manage at least 1-2 junior staff across various accounts.
-Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Cision.
-Experience with broadcast booking and relationships with industry influencers a plus.
