Reid Myers has launched The Cadre, a creative communications agency that connects brands with people by tapping into the cultural zeitgeist. Recognizing that "communications" should be a holistic term, they work with clients to identify their business needs, and build their strategy accordingly - whether that entails traditional public relations, digital and social media, brand partnerships, activations (virtual or in-person), or creative council.
Composed of veteran communications professionals, The Cadre team's collective 3 decades of experience is colored by a roster of brands ranging from start-up to blue chip, boutique to global. Reid formerly led the Design & Technology division at PURPLE PR, and communications for the Lifestyle portfolio at Meredith & Time Inc. - and whose portfolio includes luxury automotive, art, technology, design, real estate, spirits, hospitality, and more.
The Cadre's ever-growing roster of clients is indicative of what Reid hopes to accomplish in a changing media landscape: changing how people discover brands. The roster includes Room57 Gallery, a new concept for showcasing art and design while giving back to the community through Free Arts NYC; Prospect, which collaborates with top-tier names to make high art & design accessible with beautiful objects for the home; artist Kristin Simmons, whose unique and playful pop art speaks on a subliminal level to our culture of consumption; and three brands whose launches are forthcoming: a cheeky direct-to-consumer underwear brand, a heritage luxury automaker, and a unique corporate social responsibility campaign for an industry-leading beverage company.
A unique business model means that The Cadre is able to scope account teams based on clients' needs - reducing overhead and ensuring a leaner, more dedicated workforce.
