Happy Corner Hospitality, the restaurant group behind Motek, Yalla Motek and Sesame Kitchen, is expanding into Fort Lauderdale this fall with two concepts at W Fort Lauderdale, marking the group’s first entry into Broward County and a significant next step in its continued growth across South Florida.
Leading the expansion is Motek By The Sea, an approximately 12,000-square-foot, 315-seat restaurant now opening to the public, and the first Motek location set along the oceanfront. Shortly thereafter, the group will introduce Sesame Kitchen, its Mediterranean-inspired all-day concept, through a dedicated outdoor experience adjacent to Motek By The Sea. Together, the openings bring two distinct expressions of Happy Corner Hospitality’s Mediterranean roots to the property, each with its own culinary identity and experience.
“There’s something incredibly special about dining by the ocean, and I’ve always been inspired by the possibilities that come with a setting like this. Sitting down for a great meal while feeling the ocean breeze is priceless, an experience you simply can’t replicate. That connection to the water is deeply personal to me, rooted in where I come from and reflected in the spirit of Motek. With Motek By The Sea and Sesame Kitchen at W Fort Lauderdale, we have an opportunity to bring that vision to life, creating a destination that embraces this incredible oceanfront setting while becoming a meaningful part of the Fort Lauderdale community,” said Charlie Levy, Founder of Happy Corner Hospitality.
