Palm Springs Art Museum is delighted to announce internationally celebrated fashion designer and creative director Jeremy Scott as the honoree for Art Party 2027, the museum’s annual gala, taking place Saturday, January 30, 2027.
Known for his distinctive visual language that moves fluidly across fashion, art, architecture, design, and popular culture, Scott has spent more than three decades challenging conventions and reshaping contemporary fashion. His work draws from the collision of American pop culture, architecture, music, old Hollywood glamour, and the visual language of mass consumerism, transforming these references into sculptural silhouettes, highly conceptual collections, and immersive runway presentations that blur the boundaries between fashion, art, spectacle, and popular culture.
That connection to architecture and design extends to Palm Springs, where Scott is the steward of the iconic Elrod House, designed by architect John Lautner in 1968. One of the most internationally recognized examples of desert modernism, the residence reflects Scott’s longstanding appreciation for architecture, design history, and the preservation of culturally significant spaces.
“Jeremy has an extraordinary ability to see the familiar differently and turn it into something entirely unexpected. There is intelligence, wit, and fearlessness in everything he creates,” said Christine Vendredi, JoAnn McGrath Executive Director and Chief Curator. “His relationship with Palm Springs makes this recognition particularly special, celebrating someone who is not only internationally renowned, but also part of the cultural fabric of this community.”
Scott’s expansive approach to creative practice has defined his career from its beginnings. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, he studied fashion design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn before launching his career in Paris and establishing his namesake label. He later served as Creative Director of Moschino, where his theatrical and highly conceptual collections brought renewed international attention to the historic Italian fashion house. His collaborations across fashion, art, music, and product design, including his longstanding work with Adidas, have further expanded his influence and helped redefine the relationship between high fashion, streetwear, design, and popular culture.

Art Party 2027 will celebrate Scott’s contributions to contemporary culture and his connection to Palm Springs, bringing together art, fashion, architecture, and design for the museum’s annual gala.
Proceeds from Art Party support Palm Springs Art Museum’s exhibitions, programs, collections, and experiences, advancing the museum’s work to inspire, educate, and connect communities through art and design.
