Jack’s by Skylight Reopens as an Intimate Salon and Event Space

Jack’s opened in 1864, when French-born chef George Voges opened a restaurant on Sacramento Street. The hills that would become downtown San Francisco were once thick with jackrabbits, giving Jack’s its name. For generations, Jack’s became a place where San Francisco gathered over double-cut chops, ice-cold martinis served in twos, closed-door deals, and stories best kept within its walls.

Skylight is now the new steward of Jack’s, reimagining it not as the restaurant it once was, but as the gathering place it had always been. Jack’s is now an intimate salon and private event space, carrying forward its longstanding purpose of bringing San Francisco together through generous hospitality and a shared table.

The space is available for dinners, salons, launches, celebrations, and private gatherings, offering a setting for cocktails, conversation, team gatherings, milestones, and brand launches.
