50th Parallel Public Relations is welcoming and celebrating the addition of a new team member, Elizabeth Binette.

After recently supporting their team as a contractor, Elizabeth is joining 50th Parallel Public Relations full-time as a Senior Account Associate.

From strategic planning to content development, we look forward to her becoming increasingly involved across our client portfolio, bringing her creativity, thoughtfulness and positive energy.

To mark this addition, Binette shared more about what drew her to the role and what inspires her work:

Why did you want to join the 50th Parallel team?

"I have been 50th's biggest fan since I went back to school to do my Diploma of Public Relations with UVic in 2022. I always loved reading about their different clients, the diversity of the work, their trends report, and the Lead with Clarity masterclass, which I completed earlier this year. Having the privilege of working on so many different and amazing projects really drew me to 50th!"

What is your favourite tool to work with?

"My team! My work often uses standard tools like the Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace; not very exciting! What I rely on most is my team and my colleagues — whether it's for training, to bounce ideas, or just for support, I know the team will be there for me!

What motivates you?

Getting to share real stories from real people! I love storytelling. I love getting to learn about different people, organizations, businesses and projects, and helping to share each story as it matters more than anything — because it does!
