PuRe Appointed to Lead UK PR Campaign for Zimmer + Rohde

Zimmer + Rohde, the luxury textile house since 1899, has appointed PuRe Public Relations to oversee its UK PR campaign. Known for its modern classic designs that blend a contemporary ethos with timeless elegance, Zimmer + Rohde has successfully shaped the intersection of tradition and innovation for more than a century – pairing high quality and timelessness with unrivalled craftsmanship. Its fabrics, with carefully coordinated colour combinations, cleverly concealed functionality, and bold signatures, exude quality craftsmanship.

Zimmer + Rohde: Over 125 Years of History

Founded in 1899 by Ernst Rohde and Max Marx in Germany, Zimmer + Rohde is one of Europe's most established luxury furnishing-textile houses, with a history spanning over 125 years. The brand is renowned for its blend of traditional textile craftsmanship, international design influences, and a family-owned heritage that has continued across four generations. Today, the brand continues to operate from its headquarters in Oberursel, Germany, setting international standards and serving a global market through showrooms in London, New York, Milan, Dubai, and Hong Kong, alongside a discerning international presence shipping to over 90 countries.

Over the years, Zimmer + Rohde has also assembled a collection of specialised luxury textile brands. Alongside Zimmer + Rohde are ETAMINE and ADO Goldkante, while HODSOLL MCKENZIE, TRAVERS, and ARDECORA operate underneath the Zimmer + Rohde brand. Each brand is recognised for its individual spirit, taking influences from Italian rich velvets and silks, the French Mediterranean aesthetic, refined British-inspired fabrics, and classic American decorative textiles.

In its in-house design studio, Zimmer + Rohde develops collections characterised by premium materials, creative precision and a refined sensitivity to colour, texture and spatial context. In close collaboration with selected international weaving mills and printers, these designs are executed with meticulous attention to detail. To ensure a cohesive interior scheme, the portfolio extends beyond curtain and upholstery fabrics to include decorative and functional textiles, as well as curtain rods and selected trimmings. Zimmer + Rohde fabrics are recognised within luxury residential interiors, boutique hotels, high-end hospitality projects, and yacht and contract interiors.

Spring 2026: Zimmer + Rohde launches AFTER THE RAIN Collection

For spring 2026, Zimmer + Rohde launches the AFTER THE RAIN Collection - a poetic journey through textile landscapes. A homage to seeing, feeling, and perceiving, the collection takes its influences from European landscape painting in the Romantic era, transforming the interplay between nature and atmosphere into a textile narrative.

Delicate reflections on water surfaces, shimmering horizons, Far Eastern scenes, and abstracted mountain silhouettes become poetic patterns and sensual textures. Some fabrics evoke the play of light on raindrops, others the reflections on moiré-like surfaces or the moment when clouds part and the sky glows in a soft blue. AFTER THE RAIN unites calmness, movement, and luxurious materiality.

Collaboration as the New Competition

Beyond its own collections, Zimmer + Rohde extends its design philosophy through partnerships with leading brands, including Turri, Norr11, and Carl Hansen & Son, reflecting its commitment to design excellence.

In spring 2026, Zimmer + Rohde collaborated with the German furniture manufacturer, ClassiCon, to expand its range of upholstery fabrics to include the diverse Zimmer + Rohde collections. The collaboration launched the Soft Stone Sofa by designer Gabriel Tan, exclusively upholstered in Zimmer + Rohde fabrics, marking the beginning of a collaboration between two companies deeply rooted in the German design landscape. Both share a commitment to achieving timeless aesthetics through the highest standards of craftsmanship and the use of premium, tactile materials.

For Milan Design Week 2026, Zimmer + Rohde collaborated with Berlin-based designer Fabian Freytag to create “Il Corridoio”. The collaboration transformed its Milan showroom into a walk-through architectural installation - a floating, tent-like corridor that turns the act of passage itself into an experience and makes the poetic power of designed space tangible. The central protagonists of the installation were the light objects – sculptural forms crafted from Zimmer + Rohde’s textiles. Architecture, textile, and light merged into an immersive composition.

Zimmer + Rohde Launches New London Showroom at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour

In June 2026, Zimmer + Rohde unveils its new London showroom at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. Created in collaboration with the Austrian interior designer Theresa Obermoser, the new concept is inspired by British history and Victorian townhouses, combining contemporary elegance with expressive architectural details, soft textures and carefully selected materials. Theresa Obermoser states, “It was less about responding to the architecture and more about engaging with British history.”
