Hachette Book Group Announces Multiple Promotions and Updates Across Its Online and Digital Sales Teams

Hachette Book Group (HBG) has announced multiple promotions and updates across its online and digital sales teams.

Agustina Casal is thrilled to share Cristal Sanchez was recently promoted to National Account Manager, overseeing some of HBG's largest digital accounts, including Audible, Spotify, Kobo, Chirp, and Scribd/Everand. Cristal has already risen to the challenge, consistently identifying sales opportunities and leading creative merchandising opportunities with our audio retailers. Cristal’s collaborative spirit, can-do attitude, and unshakeable optimism make working with her a genuine pleasure, and no romantasy book crosses the threshold without Cristal's sharp eye on it. 

Joining the digital sales team on April 20th is Shelby Sweet, HBG's new Associate National Account Manager. Shelby comes to the company from the PRH B&N team, where she managed Nook e-book and audio sales. With an instinct for identifying sleeper hits, she will be an excellent advocate for our books. Shelby will oversee the library and academic accounts, including OverDrive, as well as Apple Books and several boutique digital partners such as Libro.fm.

Madi Fortich recently joined Hachette as the new Digital Sales Analyst. Madi supports HBG's growing business with analysis across digital pricing trends, metadata‑driven discoverability, and additional backlist revenue-driving initiatives. She holds a Bachelor of Science in applied mathematics and statistics and a master’s degree in data science. Madi previously interned with the HarperCollins sales analytics/data science team. A lifelong reader of fantasy and literary fiction, Madi is also a soccer player and avid sports fan.

Finally, Abby Williams will join Hachette as the new Online & Digital Sales Assistant. A graduate of NYU’s publishing program, Abby recently completed a publicity internship at Abrams, where she managed digital outreach and campaign tracking. Abby is an avid reader of all books and is excited to bring her curiosity, precision, and collaborative spirit to supporting HBG’s online and digital accounts.
