Ana Maria Allessi from Hachette Book Group's Hachette Audio is happy to report that Christina Claverie-Williams will join the team on March 9th in the role of Digital Content Specialist.
A graduate of CUNY/Hunter College, Christina has worked most recently as Director of Communications and Brand Development for DP Hospitality, where she developed and executed digital-first brand storytelling across websites, social platforms, and email campaigns, planning, writing, and editing content for their portfolio of restaurants and lounges. Equally adept and enthusiastic about project management, Christina has experience managing content calendars, campaign timelines, and asset production. A recipient of a competitive publishing fellowship at Inkluded Academy, a publishing course taught by industry professionals that covers editorial, marketing, publicity, production, rights, and more, Christina has also worked at HueMan Books as a brand and advertising manager. Christina will report to Allessi, with a dotted line to Aparna Rishi.
Kim Sayle, Senior Vice President, Deputy Publisher at Hachette Audio, is thrilled to announce the following promotions at Hachette Audio:
- Laura Essex is being promoted to Senior Audio Editor. Since she joined Workman in 2020 and later Hachette Audio, Laura has been an incredible asset to the team and Hachette Audio's recordings, providing invaluable preproduction guidance and support to both her print colleagues and the audiobook production team. Laura has an enthusiasm for books in all their formats and provides a wealth of knowledge about the audiobook recording process, which she will happily share with anyone who asks. Sayle appreciates Laura’s maturity, positive attitude, composure, and dedication to the audiobook format, as well as her attention to detail and ability to focus on the task at hand. Laura’s contributions have truly made the process of publishing 700+ audiobooks a year more efficient and streamlined - all with grace and a positive attitude.
- Allison Lane is promoted to Audio Preproduction Associate. Allison joined Hachette Audio in 2023 after an internship at Basic Books. Since then, she has expanded her role to include coordinating preproduction on client titles, expanding the backlist title selections, working with IT to maximize Hachette Audio's use of Title Management, and facilitating the execution of author narration agreements and payments. Allison is a consummate professional who tackles every challenge with unwavering determination—focused not only on resolving the immediate issue, but also on putting lasting systems in place to ensure it doesn’t recur. Allison has also provided extensive training and a warm welcome not only to new Hachette Audio staff but also to new hires around HBG in her role as a New Hire Buddy. Hachette values Allison's intelligence, quick wit, and kindness, as well as her commitment to doing the best job possible for the company's books and authors.
