1stDibs, the leading online marketplace for extraordinary design, is proud to announce the 2025 edition of the 1stDibs 50 — an annual list that celebrates 50 of today’s global design luminaries. Now in its eighth iteration, this compendium honors the prowess of these standout designers, highlighting impeccable rooms that are elevated through the thoughtful and thought-provoking curation of furniture, art, and objects from across the design spectrum.
This year’s 1stDibs 50 cohort includes a diverse and inspiring group of talent, with 26 of the awarded firms being owned and led by women. The list also honors the work of a wide array of outstanding designers of color and incredibly accomplished LGBTQ+ designers. The honored designers range from those who lead large, well-established, multi-city firms to young studios with just a handful of employees. Indeed, in a consistent eort to spotlight the newest and brightest international design talent, 15 firms have been welcomed to this list for the first time. This annual award reflects the brand’s continued commitment to supporting remarkable designers and shining a spotlight on their talents.
“The members of this year’s 1stDibs 50 are a testament to the universality of extraordinary design, with this inspiring group representing the very best across stylistic and geographic spectrums. While disparate in many ways, they are all united by their shared passion for the most beautiful things on earth,” said Anthony Barzilay Freund, 1stDibs’ Editorial Director and Director of Fine Art. “This year, it is our particular privilege to celebrate diversity in all its facets. and to pay tribute to all our honorees by sharing their incredible work with an international community of design enthusiasts.”
Selected from 1stDibs’ vast network of international design firms, many of whom have been featured in Introspective magazine, the honorees undergo meticulous evaluation by the 1stDibs Editorial team, which considers the firms’ curatorial and historical savvy as well as their ability to incorporate exciting contemporary design pieces into their schemes. Each of the distinguished 1stDibs 50 designers will be featured on 1stdibs.com, accompanied by a standout room from one of their most noteworthy projects. Complementing these rooms are curated collections of pieces selected by designers from 1stDibs’ oerings, spanning the New & Custom, Vintage & Antique and Art & Decor categories. These carefully edited designs enable readers to eortlessly “shop the look” of a 1stDibs 50 room for their own living space.

The firms that have achieved this honor for the first time are Banda Design Studio, Carrier and Company Interiors, Christian Bense, Eli Dweck Designs, Elicyon, Hendricks Churchill, Jessica Schuster Design, Joyce Sitterly Interior Design, LP Creative, Molly Kidd, Sean Anderson, Stephen Shadley Designers, Studio Armando Aguirre, Studio DB and Studio SFW.
This year’s honorees embody the creativity and commitment to excellence of the larger 1stDibs community, which consists of roughly 72,000 designers and architects from around the world. Through this initiative, 1stDibs continues its ongoing support of the design community. The 1stDibs 50 designers were fêted at a special event in Manhattan on April 22nd, where their accomplishments were applauded by a group of peers.
