The Malin, a network of hospitality driven workspaces for ambitious professionals, opens its fourth New York City location at 387 Park Avenue South in partnership with real estate development company, TF Cornerstone. The Malin NoMad presents a boutique hotel-like alternative to the traditional coworking settings prevalent in the area and is equipped to serve the neighborhood’s large range of professional communities – from VC and financial services firms, to creative and media agencies, to tech startups, nearby fashion businesses, and beyond.
At The Malin, details matter and the member experience is prioritized to optimize the workday. High-touch concierge benefits and transportive interiors create an intimate environment that fosters familiarity – names and coffee orders are remembered and small gestures like fresh baked goods, regularly catered lunches and fresh floral arrangements elevate the day to day. In addition, members have access to complimentary Executive Assistants who help keep them in their flow. The dedicated teams at each location aim to be a true extension of members’ operations and are prepared to streamline members’ days so they can focus on their work, supporting tasks both personal and professional in scope. The complimentary services executed are a core part of The Malin’s offerings and range from preparing meeting materials and sourcing suppliers to booking personal appointments or securing last-minute reservations at a popular restaurant.
Furthermore, the space itself embodies the same level of consideration, with unparalleled boardrooms for internal and external meetings, silent spaces for deep focus and communal tables for collaboration. The interiors are treated like a 5-star hotel, with everything custom made of the finest materials: solid oak desks with poured crystal dividers, plush materials and commissioned paintings – all to ensure members have the most elevated backdrop possible for their businesses.
As the brand's northernmost location in New York City, The Malin NoMad is a work respite for neighborhood professionals and is conveniently situated for commuters, equidistant to Grand Central Station, Penn Station, and Union Square. The Malin has notably acted as homebase for some of the most successful startups and tech companies in America — including beauty wellness company Jolie, independent business management software HoneyBook, and the widest language learning platform Preply – and NoMad location will serve a new set of New York City professionals.
“We’re thrilled to be growing The Malin’s Manhattan presence, venturing to Park Avenue South to serve a whole new community in the city,” shared The Malin’s Founder and CEO, Ciarán McGuigan. “We’re looking forward to leveraging the larger square footage to offer additional private offices and meeting rooms, commodities that are highly popular with our members. The club will be a great complement to our downtown offerings with a beautiful bookend just north of Madison Square Park.”
The Malin’s largest new location to date, the NoMad workspace spans 19,000 square feet, bringing the brand’s total New York City footprint to 76,400 square feet, over an 800% increase from their debut venue, which opened in November 2021. The NoMad location features a wide variety of work zones including 10 private offices, 3 Meeting Rooms, 16 Phone Booths, 18 Dedicated Desks, 5 Communal Tables, a Boardroom, a Library and a Kitchen.
"The Malin is a welcome addition to 387 Park Avenue South. We're excited to see them grow as a brand within our space," said Director, Commercial Asset Management for TF Cornerstone. "As flexible work spaces continue to evolve and meet the needs of today's workplace, The Malin is a trusted leader whom we're proud to have in our building."
The Malin NoMad marks their seventh flexible workspace nationwide as the hospitality brand continues to seek out coveted professional neighborhoods. Building upon their existing locations in New York (Soho, Williamsburg, West Village), Nashville (Wedgewood Houston, South Gulch) and Austin, The Malin NoMad is committed to providing inspiring environments equipped with personalized, high-touch services, offering both the comforts of a home and the resources of an office.
The Malin memberships are open to any professional or team on a first come first serve basis. There are three levels of membership: access membership, dedicated desk membership and private offices. Day passes and meeting room rentals are also available to non-members.
