Sensei, a leading global wellness brand, announced that it will launch a curated collection of Hiking Retreats, its newest offering, across their two properties. Launching first at Sensei Lānaʻi, a Four Seasons Resort, the six-days, five-nights inaugural retreat will take place April 29 - May 4. There, hiking enthusiasts of all abilities will enjoy easy-to-moderate trails that combine breathtaking views of Lānaʻi’s lush landscapes with a deep dive into the Hawaiian island’s history and culture, while also participating in Sensei’s signature wellness programming.
“According to a study from Mintel’s Wellness Travel Report, research shows that nearly 80% of wellness travelers are seeking physical activity when choosing where to travel,” said Alexandra Walterspiel, Sensei President and Chief Operating Officer. “With the mountainous terrain and diverse landscape that envelops our retreat, launching this new Hiking Retreat on Lānaʻi was a natural next step for us. While our programs so far have centered on the individual, these hiking retreats are structured in a cohort model, drawing together like-minded individuals and fostering social connections that are key to one’s well-being, all while being immersed in the island's cultural riches and natural beauty.”
Facilitated by expert Sensei Guides and experienced adventure leads, the program delivers enriching wellness guidance within the island’s most inspiring settings. Open to couples, solo travelers and small travel groups alike, the five-night retreat at Sensei Lānaʻi includes:

As guests traverse Kaiholena, they’ll embark on an awe-inspiring second hike with diverse landscapes and unmatched views of surrounding islands and the majestic Cook pines that define the spiritual uplands of Lānaʻi. The hike leads guests to a view of one of the island’s most recognizable landmarks, Puʻupehe Rock, which is named after a Hawaiian tale of two lovers.
Following the Lānaʻi Retreat, Sensei will also debut its new hiking retreat series at Sensei Porcupine Creek in Greater Palm Springs later this year.
