How to Be Well, Cultured & Happy From Home

About a month into lockdown, we can safely say a few things. One is that it's getting tougher to stay inspired, to feel hopeful and be in high spirits. We've also come to learn that creatives from all over the world are pulling out all the stops to deliver uplifting experiences right into our homes. So, this week, we're enjoying art and film, new beauty intel and living vicariously through the best travel destinations and parties of the past. Homemade cocktail in hand, of course.

What We’re Doing

Virtually visit: Explore contemporary art exhibitions and see art at galleries from New York to LA and beyond with the award winning art curator, advisor and guide, founder of ArtMuse, Natasha Schlesinger. You will be able to see art works and installations that would have been presented at numerous galleries, hear from some of these artists and virtually visit their studios to see the artist’s process. While we can’t physically see the exhibitions at the galleries, we can dig deeper into the artistic process, actually see the artists speak and hover over their shoulders as they make their art. Also, the new Artmuse Selects app is essentially a portal to discovering artist studios and online viewing rooms. Download it here

Watch: Get your popcorn ready, the Architecture and Design Film Festival is going digital. From Thursday, April 16 - Sunday, April 19, ADFF will offer one film each night, including a live introduction and Q&A. The best part: the films are all uplifting and positive. Check out the lineup here

Beauty refresher course: Dr. Barbara Sturm and Hailey Bieber co-hosted ‘Skin School’ this week, and while it might be an educational series targeted for teenagers, we got some good takeaways ourselves. The two discussed personal experiences with their skin, ingredients to use and avoid, plus skincare best practices. Watch the replay here
