You don’t have to look further than one of Alpha Kilo’s first campaigns to understand the deep creativity and innovative, long-term thinking that powers this team. Founding client Airbnb tasked the agency with launching their internal design studio. This led to the creation of Yoshino Cedar House – an exhibition in Kenya Hara’s House Vision event in Tokyo – which realizes how architectural features can engender a deeper relationship between hosts and guests. Following the exhibition, it was permanently installed in Yoshino, where it became a bookable Airbnb that is maintained by the village and also functions as a community center. Proceeds earned from guests who visit are used to strengthen the cultural legacy and future of the area, which has struggled with urban migration and aging population.
