The PR Net 100, 2023: MikeWorldWide

Global clients across the US and Europe tap MikeWorldWide (MWW) for their team of 225 comms pros’ expertise across brand marketing, technology and corporate reputation. Their commitment to excellence showed in the form of all-time highs this year, with 58 new clients to date, plus the expansion of their technology practice, which saw an impressive 174% YoY client growth. Over the last year, MWW also invested in digital content experts, including hiring a platform strategy lead and a creator/producer from Logan Paul’s content house – a move that resulted in expanded work with brands such as TIDAL and Nikon, and secured partnerships with the likes of Spotify and Amazon Prime Video. The latest investment for MWW: digital adoption and Web3 expertise, strengthening their position as the go-to agency for the emerging media universe. MWW just wrapped their second iteration of their DEIJ pro bono PR program, which provides six months of free communications support to two small business owners and entrepreneurs from under-represented communities each year.

“Our industry needs innovative approaches for dealing with our ongoing talent crunch. One way we’re addressing this is via a new-style partnership with University of Rhode Island’s Harrington School of Communication. The University’s Media Intelligence Lab actually employs two graduate students who serve as extensions of MikeWorldWide’s Insights & Analytics team. Under the supervision of a faculty member, and in partnership with MikeWorldWide, these grad students support various client and agency projects, including cleaning and coding data, proofing reports, trendspotting, media and social audits and other desk research assignments. This is a long-term engagement and the students are fully trained on our tools and processes during their two-year tenure in the lab.”
