The PR Net 100, 2023: 5WPR

The past year has been a monumental one for 5WPR, as the agency celebrated its 20-year anniversary with growth across their B2C and B2B client base and surpassing 300 employees in their New York and Miami offices. Another milestone moment for 5WPR this year was the launch of HOW, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the firm that functions as a full-service, stand-alone digital agency with the same results-focused approach as 5W. To support their rigorous growth strategy, 5W expanded its leadership team, elevating five key executives to managing partner roles, and announcing multiple C-suite and executive hires. The agency was well equipped, then, to expand two core practice areas substantially; the Corporate and Technology practices include new and expanded areas of expertise across healthcare technology and digital health, insurance tech, enterprise resource planning, digital transformation and corporate communications ESG. The Consumer practice expanded in key verticals including the Parent, Child, and Baby group, plus a psychedelic therapy practice, new hires within the cannabis and CBD team (who hold certifications and understand the nuances of legislation surrounding the industry), and a new executive thought leadership program.

Explain how your agency is pushing the boundaries of PR and communications by integrating innovative strategies, tools, or technologies to enhance your offerings and benefit your clients.

“No matter what the industry, the media landscape has never been more competitive and 5W knows how important it is for our clients to be able to share their stories and make an impact. In answer to this, 5W has expanded the existing Consumer Measurement & Analytics Task Force, launching a strategy and applied data department to focus on the increase and expansion of real-time reporting using KPIs, data, and analytics to determine how to best represent clients. To support the department’s growth, the agency welcomed a Vice President of Research & Analytics who has been tasked with developing data-driven methodologies and audience-first outcomes across all 5W's practice areas and new business pipelines.”
