The PR Net 100: Havas Group

Havas Group

Havas Group is a global force committed to people, planet and profit, and one that is unique in its organization: media and creative agencies work in tandem in the same office or “villages.” Havas Group is on a mission to make a meaningful difference for brands and the lives of the people they work with. In doing so, they have collectively embarked on a journey towards sustainability, which the global network defines as encompassing environmental, social and economic issues. They joined the Conscious Advertising Network (CAN) this past October and also launched a new private marketplace made up of Black, Indigenous, People of Color and LGTBQ+-owned media businesses so clients can positively invest funds in underrepresented businesses. In addition, Havas NY has changed its legal status to a Benefits Corporation with the mission to support youth from underserved communities. Globally, Havas is committing to carbon neutrality by 2025. Havas NY also recently welcomed key leadership hires, including CCO Dan Lucey, award-winning Executive Creative Directors Marcelo Ramirez and Bharat Kumar as well as acclaimed producer Melissa Tifrere as Head of Production. These new additions strengthen Havas NY’s commitment to creativity and bring diverse perspectives and skill sets to the agency’s evolving creative department.

What was your biggest business challenge this year and how did your team overcome it?

Like most agencies, our biggest challenge was COVID, but when the pandemic forced the industry to work from home, Havas seamlessly transitioned all employee programming and communication virtually and saw an opportunity to cultivate a new way of working that aligns people, planet, and profit in equal balance. Havas has remained confident in their ability to maintain an award-winning culture whether at home or in the office, which is a key pillar to their success.
