Blended Strategy Group is a female-founded, LA-based creative marketing and communications agency supporting clients across entertainment, PR and social media. The agency keeps strengthening its position by promoting longtime employees to senior roles, including Bhavagna Bhattiprolu as executive vice president and Holly Curtis as vice president of PR. In July 2021, Mossy Creative joined BSG to launch a new social media division and form a full-service creative marketing and communications agency with a focus on entertainment, PR and social media strategy. As part of this integration, Mossy Creative employees will be part of the new BSG Content & Social Media division. Blended Strategy Group co-founders Allison Statter and Sherry Jhawar will continue to be CEO and President, respectively. This year, BSG won Webby recognition for Kevin Bacon’s #IStayHomeFor campaign.

Is there a big industry trend you’re backing in terms of your agency offering, and why do you think this area will continue to grow and influence the PR practice?

As an agency, we are doubling down on the importance of influencer and social media. We already have a very robust influencer marketing division and are continuing to grow that division with further growth in this type of marketing. Additionally, we just launched our social media strategy and content production division. We believe branded content for owned and operated social media channels is critically important for brands to stand out.  We now offer a full suite of capabilities across brand PR, social media and entertainment marketing, including celebrity procurement and influencer marketing.

What was your biggest business challenge this year and how did your team overcome it?

Similar to many companies, the ongoing battle with Covid-19 has been extremely challenging for our business. That being said, it has forced us to be even more nimble, flexible and creative.  Brands know that digital marketing, especially PR, influencer marketing and social media-based content are the best ways to reach consumers.  We are ensuring that our creativity with virtual events and product seedings help brands stay relevant and even launch new products during times when physical interaction has been limited. Covid launched the careers of hundreds more influencers, particularly on TikTok and we are very excited to be working with so many of them and finding new and creative ways for brands to authentically stand out.
