Private Dining Room Roundup, Part II

Whether you’re in Manhattan or Brooklyn, Los Angeles or Las Vegas, it can be tough to escape the chaos and crowds of the city. Private dining rooms are the perfect social solution, whether you opt for an intimate setting that feels like you’re in someone’s home or a larger-scale buyout made for mingling. As a continuation to last year’s roundup, we’ve compiled a collection of versatile spaces for work events and personal parties alike.

Manhattan

Benno
New to the scene is Benno, award-winning Chef Jonathan Benno’s Mediterranean outpost in the Evelyn Hotel. The impeccable private dining room, with its wood paneling and fireplace-turned-liquor-cabinet, can accommodate up to 35 guests with prix fixe menus available.

Acme
Acme is a NoHo favorite for its cozy ambiance and old world charm, not to mention its quintessential NYC menu. The upstairs restaurant area and cool cocktail bar down below can both accommodate seated dinners and cocktail parties.

Nickel & Diner
Inspired by diner culture, this chic spot features a private dining room (complete with its own bathroom) as well as a semi-private area and availability in the main dining room. Perks of the PDR include a private AV system that’s compatible with Apple TV and Chromecast. Whichever space you choose, Nickel & Diner offers prix-fixe options and customized menus.

Bluebird London
British transplant Bluebird London made its way across the pond earlier this fall, opening its doors at the Time Warner Center. Unique to this particular private dining room are some seriously beautiful, unobstructed views of Columbus Circle and Central Park. The patterned flooring and bright green velvet chairs are a sight, too.

Broken Shaker
Broken Shaker at Freehand New York is likely one of the most versatile event spaces in the city. All the boho chic furniture in the space is adjustable and removable, making it easy to accommodate all sorts of setups. Fun for full and partial private event buyouts, details include DJ/live music capabilities, XLR setup, AV capabilities, plus input to house music systems.

Bobo
The very design of Bobo makes it ideal for private hire, with a few different options available. There’s the lovely temperature-controlled garden, the spacious main dining room and the ever-adorable apartment 2F. You’ll likely want to move into this picturesque space, complete with salmon pink walls, fireplace and worn-in bookshelves.

Leonelli Taberna
Leonelli Taberna is Chef Benno’s Roman-inspired trattoria (also located in the relaunched Evelyn Hotel). The space offers a private dining room on the second floor mezzanine that’s perfect for sit-down meals as well as standing receptions. The Leonelli Lobby Lounge is also available for cocktail parties (plus you get the Tarberna bar vibes at night).

The Smile
Cozy up in the candle-lit private dining room at The Smile, a cult-favorite spot on Bond Street. Tucked in the restaurant’s wine cellar, the PDR is an intimate space to enjoy the resto’s well-reputed Mediterranean-inspired meals.

Kyma
Go from Manhattan to Mykonos in a few seconds flat. Kyma’s authentic aesthetic and menu extend into its private dining basement. The downstairs is complete with a private entrance, full bar and DJ capabilities to really get those Greek summer vibes going any time of year.

Brooklyn

The Castle
A Red Hook gem, The Castle was formerly a cannonball factory. Today, its Marlow Events’ charming multi-room venue perfect for hosting everything from weddings to cocktail parties and corporate events. The company, whose family of BK restaurants includes Diner, Marlow & Sons and Romans, tailors their seasonal cuisine to the host's palate.

Los Angeles

NoMad LA
Just about every area at the NoMad LA is available for booking, and the spaces are all so stunning that it’s a tough call to make. Host your group in a mezzanine space overlooking the lobby restaurant, or book a private room on a different floor. The rooftop is another amazing choice to enjoy the LA weather (and view).

The Hearth & Hound
You can host your next event in a historic Hollywood landmark thanks to chef April Bloomfield. Her first LA restaurant, The Hearth & Hound offers two intimate areas: Casablanca, a feels-like-home dining room (where the movie was rumored to be filmed), and the wine alcove, complete with custom wine credenza. If al fresco is your preference, the expansive courtyard is the move.

Las Vegas

NoMad Las Vegas
The recently-opened NoMad Las Vegas is teeming with private dining options. For an intimate feel, opt for the vintage vibes of The Cellar. For larger groups, the Salon or the Parlour room offer eye-catching decor, like emerald green tufted walls and vintage rugs, respectively.
