7 Private Dining Rooms on Our Radars

Some occasions merit more than just a regular reservation. For those special events, nothing feels quite as celebratory as a private dining room. From intimate dinner tables and elegant basements to bigger buyouts, these NYC restaurants have many options to offer. Complete with menus curated by a variety of the city’s top-tier chefs, these private dining rooms provide unforgettable experiences for both hosts and their guests.

Undercote

Korean steakhouse Cote opened its highly-anticipated basement bar late last year. The dark space, channeling serious jungle vibes with an overflow of lush plants, is available for events.

The Fulton

The Fulton is world-renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s first seafood restaurant, which opened under a year ago at Pier 17. With chic interiors by Yabu Pushelberg, the spacious venue boasts multiple private dining areas, both indoor and out.

High Dive West Palm

High Dive West Palm just opened last month, complete with a spacious terrace and private dining room. With chef Jeremy Bearman and pastry chef Cindy Bearman at the helm, the seafood restaurant has become a fast favorite.

Mister French

Redefine Hospitality and Chef David Burke debuted the first location of their multi-city concept, an inventive and theatrical restaurant, in NYC. The space was designed with an emphasis on group dining, especially the back atrium with a greenhouse ceiling, which can be booked for private parties.

Shun

Michelin-starred Chef Alain Verzeroli’s Shun is a modern French restaurant with exceptionally beautiful design by French architect Joseph Dirand. The decadent space features two separate private salons to choose from, plus a cocktail lounge area for standing receptions.

The Chatwal

The Chatwal is a New York classic, with multiple event spaces available for booking. Chef Geoffrey Zakarian is at the helm of the private dining experience, serving modern American cuisine with seasonal ingredients.

Oceans

Park Avenue newcomer Oceans specializes in seafood (though there’s plenty of meat on the menu, too). The spacious restaurant offers a semi-private space on the main floor, an intimate wine cellar and a larger private room downstairs.
