Work and Play: Members' Clubs Opening in 2018
The start of a new year calls for a new perspective, and nothing is more refreshing than a change of scenery. Whatever your preferred method of recharging--relaxing by the beach, enjoying a meal with friends, mingling in a discreet destination--a handful of new members clubs will suit. Bonus: when it’s time to get back to work, just bring out your laptop. Keep an eye out for the exciting clubhouse openings in NYC and LA.

HABITAS Venice Beach & NYC

HABITAS goes bicoastal with two openings: clubhouses in Los Angeles and
New York City. On the West Coast, members gather in a restored 1940’s beach home right on Abbot Kinney. An oasis in its own right, the Venice Beach clubhouse caters to every experience: a day at the beach, an afternoon with friends, your daily dose of inspiration and beyond.

The six-floor Manhattan clubhouse, located in a historic firehouse at 240 West 30th Street, offers New Yorkers an escape from the city grind. Members can take a time-out to relax, work out and enjoy a meal with friends as easily as they can set up their laptops and get back to the hustle. Participation in HABITAS membership at both clubhouses supports RISE, their philanthropic effort focusing on gives back to communities and preserving the environment.

Spring Place LA

Spring Place expands its TriBeCa membership club and workspace to Los Angeles. The second location will open in the buzzing Arts District, catering to the neighborhood’s young professionals in TV, film and creative industries. With plans for global expansion, keep an eye out for news and openings from Spring Place.

Robin Birley’s Union Square Clubhouse

After years of scoping out a location, Robin Birley, of London’s exclusive 5 Hertford Street, prepares to open his first US locale in New York City. The space is expected to host a clubhouse as well as rooms for members. Speaking of, the club will not be an extension of the London house and will require a separate membership.
