To showcase Salon, Athena Calderone's new Art Deco-inspired rug collection in collaboration with Beni, the Beni showroom is outfitting its West Village location with French and Austrian furniture from the 1920s and 1930s.
Maison Gerard Neighborhood Gallery Walk & Oui Design!

The annual Spring Neighborhood Gallery Walk with design dealers on 10th, 11th and 12th Streets will take place. Participating galleries are 1950s Gallery, Bernd Goeckler Antiques, Demisch Danant, Eerdmans, Hostler Burrows, Karl Kemp, Magen H Gallery, Maison Gerard Ltd., Nickey Kehoe, Plain English Design, and Prelle & Passementerie Verrier Paris. Maison Gerard at its galleries located at 29 & 43 East 10th Street will be showcasing great French design from the 1920's to today. This presentation is part of the programming for the 2024 Edition of Oui Design which celebrates French design all across NYC during NYC x Design

Oui Design! at Maison Gerard in association with Villa Albertine will present the best of French design, a curated series of installations of French Art Deco, Mid-Century and Contemporary design during Greenwich Village's biggest spring fête. A special highlight will be a large installation created by French artisans and designers: Atelier d'Offard and Pierre Gonalons (represented by Ronit Anderson), Saint-Louis, and Atelier Viollet featuring new wallcoverings, crystal, and furniture. This event will be held at the Maison Gerard's location at 29 East 10th Street.

In celebration of this year’s NYCxDESIGN, the second iteration of The Mercer Street Block Party will be hosted by top showrooms in SOHO. Brands such as BDDW, Bocci, Calico Wallpaper, Hem, Henrybuilt, Kasthall, Orior, Roll&Hill, and Stellarworks will be hosting guests to their showrooms to showcase new collections and launches.

International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF)

Herman Miller ‘Picnic on Park’

To celebrate the release of the archival Hot Dog Picnic Poster, Herman Miller’s NYC store will transform into ‘Picnic on Park’ from May 21-23. The 3-day pop-up will pay homage to Herman Miller’s annual company picnics throughout the 1970s and 80s – a beloved tradition that inspired the 1973 Hot Dog Picnic Poster along with a series of 19 other graphic artworks depicting quintessential American summer potluck items, created by in-house graphic designer Steve Frykholm to promote the event each year. Guests will enjoy a first look at the Hot Dog Picnic Poster, collectible takeaways, and a bespoke cart serving up traditional hot dogs from 12-2 PM daily.

The New York Design Center is hosting a Day of Design event in celebration of NYCxDesign, and a host of showrooms are participating with open houses, a panel discussion and various events throughout the day: Afternoon Delights with Live on 5, Open House and Meet and Greet at Verellen, House of Hackney x 200 Lex Open House, Celebrate ‘Skye’ with Tom Faulkner, ‘Good Design is Sustainable. Great Design is Responsible!’ panel and the Cliff Young Award Ceremony.
