Where to Host a Holiday Party in NYC

As the year winds down, the city lights up. From glittering storefront windows to special seasonal menus, New York is already buzzing with holiday feels. ‘Tis the season to celebrate, but with so many incredible spots across the city, selecting a venue can be a challenge. We’ve narrowed down a list of locales that suit for all sorts of festivities. Share a memorable meal, clink glasses or host a full-on holiday party at these versatile venues.

L’Atelier by Joel Robuchon
Celebrate in style at Joël Robuchon's concept, L’ATELIER de Joel Robuchon. The stunning space debuted in the Meatpacking District on November 1, opening its doors to reveal an aesthetic that stays true to its Parisian roots while incorporating the neighborhood’s signature brick walls and expansive windows. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or hosting a lively party, the restaurant offers two dining experiences to choose from: L’ATELIER and LE BAR. The main dining area, L’ATELIER features counter and table seating as well as two private dining rooms. Expect a health-centric menu complete with plant-based dishes and a vegetarian tasting menu. LE BAR, a 56-seat space, services classic cocktails, Champagne and dishes like salads and sandwiches in its elegant yet approachable space.

Yours Truly, Mondrian Park
 Avenue

Celebrate with a toast at Yours Truly, the new nightlife hotspot inside the recently-opened Mondrian Park Avenue. Tucked underneath the hotel, guests are welcomed through a hidden entrance. The upscale lounge setting, with its plush leather sofas and wooden lounge tables, is anchored by a custom mural replica of the Paris Opera House. Start the evening with craft cocktails and snacks in the upscale lounge setting, and stay for the VIP club’s late-night party, which goes on ‘til 4am.

Chinese Tuxedo

Inhabiting a tri-level space that was formerly an opera house, Chinese Tuxedo offers a traditional Chinese menu with a modern twist. The restaurant quite literally takes private dining room to another level, as it boasts a subterranean space with a secret street entrance. Outfitted with cozy banquettes and Carrera marble tables, the private dining room is complete with four banquets and two long tables to accommodate 50 guests. The dining room and balcony are available for buyouts as well.

VYNL

With four levels to choose from, VYNL offers a range of experiences to suit a holiday host. Located at the intersection of Union Square and the Lower East Side, the 70s-inspired space takes influence from the era’s interior design, fashion, art, music and overall attitude. Even the food and drink menu takes a cue from the 1970s, fusing California flare with a passionately crafted beverage program. Host a small group dinner or choose from party package options like premium open bar, passed canapes, coat check, DJ and more. Spaces include The VNYL Main Room; Mezzanine; Black Rose Room; Champagne Room; and The Lion’s Den.

Ocean Prime New York
Socialize and celebrate in the heart of Manhattan at Ocean Prime. From the wine list to the expansive menu, there’s something for everyone (think steak, seafood and signature cocktails). The centrally-located space suits for many occasions, and was recently named Restaurant of the Year at the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants Leadership Conference. Reserve a table or request a private dining room for your festivities.

Good Behavior, MADE Hotel

Celebrate with panoramic views of NYC from the 18th floor lounge at MADE. In addition to Tiki-inspired cocktails and craft beers, Good Behavior serves up large format cocktails great for sharing with your guests.
