Dear PR Net Community,
What a week it has been for our industry! Certainly in my career of over 15 years, it’s been the strangest time, as we grapple to understand how the COVID-19 virus affects our businesses and lives and work out a path forward for the coming weeks and months.
In response to increasing trepidation around public gatherings, The PR Net will be pivoting its programming in the next few weeks to digital conferences and online learning. This is a chance to leverage the digital tools we have, that enable us to continue to be connected and informed.
To focus on the positive, we are looking forward to presenting some interesting programming around industry topics. Participating in these digital events will also give members of the community a chance to discuss current challenges and strategies, which we believe is very much needed during this time.
The PR Net will still be covering industry news, trends, venues, jobs, member offers and other content as usual. We also kindly invite this community to contribute your thoughts and editorial ideas around how your own company is dealing with the virus’ impact, or even how you personally are adapting to a potential ‘work from home’ scenario. We welcome any good hacks you can share across the board!
We have immense empathy for the challenge this poses for the industry and are wishing you all the best as we all navigate the coming weeks.
My very best,
Lisa Smith.
Founder, The PR Net.
