Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic 2016: The 411 on The Kick-Off Party of the Summer
Early every summer, throngs of stylish New Yorkers can be found heading to the ferry to New Jersey in their best linen suits and sundresses. Where are they going, you ask? To the event that truly kicks off the summer: The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. The PR Net is excited to head to the match - it’s not too late for you to attend either! Here is everything you need to know.
Where to buy tickets: Most tiers of tickets are sold out but you can still purchase Rosé Garden tickets here. The Rosé Garden package comes with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Rosé and access to the VIP rosé garden lounge area (sounds great to us)! Or, you can leave it up to luck and enter to win a pair of general admission tickets.
What to wear: Your best summer sundress and your most fabulous hat/fascinator (for ladies) and linen suits for men. Don’t forget to wear comfortable but fashionable footwear (the reason wedges were invented)!
What you’ll eat and drink: Obviously, there will be all the Veuve Clicquot champagne and rosé champagne you could ever need, but beer and liquor will also be available as well as food from a variety of vendors.
Who you might see: In the past, guests have included everyone from fashion icons Rachel Zoe and Diane Kruger to Oscar-winner Lupita Nygong’o, to the stars of Real Housewives. The people-watching is half the fun!
What you should know: The event is rain or shine, you can’t bring outside alcohol or food and there’s a dedicated ferry you can catch to Liberty State Park (information provided upon ticket request). Let the games begin!
