Mika Sears is Vice President of Marketing & Media at Breakaway, the nation’s largest touring music festival, where she leads integrated marketing strategy across digital, paid, social, content, influencer, and media initiatives. Since joining the company, she has transformed Breakaway’s marketing approach, uniting data-driven insights with fan-first creativity to drive national growth and cultural relevance. Notably, Mika oversaw the expansion of the festival into new markets, the scaling of Breakaway’s Fam Club loyalty program—an owned channel offering early ticket access, exclusive content, and member-only perks—and the evolution of the nationwide ambassador program into a major engagement and revenue engine. Together, these initiatives have strengthened Breakaway’s direct-to-fan ecosystem, reduced reliance on paid media, and deepened community connection. Under her leadership, Breakaway has achieved record-breaking attendance, becoming one of the fastest-scaling independent live entertainment brands in the U.S. and earning honors including Best Festival Series at the 2024 Electronic Dance Music Awards and Best Festival in Dallas at the 2025 Dallas Observer Awards.
