Lauren Urband is the Founder and President of The Consultancy PR (TCPR), an award-winning agency specializing in design, architecture, lifestyle, and culture. Under her leadership, TCPR has grown into a bi-coastal team delivering fully integrated communications programs for brands including Arhaus, East Fork Pottery, Fritz Hansen, MoMA Design Store, Sunbrella, and The Container Store. Lauren has guided campaigns that turn challenges into defining brand moments, from helping East Fork showcase its mission-driven values during critical moments, to launching Shelter by Afternoon Light as a bold alternative in the design fair landscape, and expanding Cortney Bishop’s reach into product design through strategic partnerships. Across all initiatives, Lauren combines creative storytelling with strategic insight, ensuring that campaigns are both culturally resonant and impactful, while maintaining a hands-on, boutique approach that keeps client relationships at the center of her work. Outside of the office, Lauren is an active member of the Design Leadership Network, Female Design Council, and Design Stands Together, where she and her team provide pro-bono communications counsel to BIPOC-led businesses in design and lifestyle.
