Danielle Hughes is Vice President of Communications for BODYARMOR and POWERADE, two leading beverage brands within The Coca-Cola Company. She oversees the overall communications strategy and leads omnichannel marketing, retail media, and brand storytelling across both brands. Under her leadership, BODYARMOR has continued to expand its influence within the sports hydration category. In 2025, Danielle led BODYARMOR’s largest campaign to date — Choose Better™ — introducing a full visual identity refresh and a powerful new brand platform anchored by top athletes. She also oversaw the brand’s first co-created product, Perfect Pop, in partnership with Dude Perfect, as well as collaborations with Barstool Sports and the Savannah Bananas, strengthening BODYARMOR’s connection with younger audiences. Danielle has also been instrumental in reinvigorating POWERADE, most recently leading its What It Takes campaign during March Madness — the brand’s largest NIL activation to date — which spotlighted women athletes and advanced a more inclusive narrative in sports marketing. Beyond her brand leadership, Danielle serves as an adjunct professor of communications and marketing at Montclair State University and contributes her time to organizations including Step Up, She’s the First, and Glasswing International.
