She played a key role in the company’s strategy not to endorse a presidential candidate ahead of the 2024 election, reinforcing Gannett’s commitment to unbiased journalism and empowering readers to make informed decisions. Her leadership has been crucial in navigating challenges such as labor issues and the integration of AI in the newsroom. As a founding member of Gannett’s AI Council, Lark has helped shape the company’s strategy for leveraging AI to enhance content and audience engagement. Under her leadership, Gannett has achieved historic milestones, including significant growth in its digital audience and the securing of key brand partnerships that have driven revenue. Before joining Gannett, Lark held senior executive positions at Aura, Hertz, Verizon, and Loews Hotels, and served as Deputy Press Secretary for Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s administration in New York City.
