Shari Ajayi is the Public Relations Director at Saatva, joining as the brand’s first in-house publicist in 2020 at a critical point in its growth. Tasked with boosting brand awareness, future demand generation and website traffic, Shari has since helped drive measurable success for the company’s brick-and-mortar retail network, upper-funnel brand awareness and expansion into new product categories. Specifically, Shari scored three wildly successful campaign wins in 2023, securing Saatva features on each of the two leading morning shows, Good Morning America and the TODAY Show; the three campaigns set company revenue records. An example of Shari’s unique PR approach is her creation of the lead- and sales-generating Press Room, the media section on Saatva’s website dedicated to brand and product education. The Press Room has been such a hit that the company has supported a redesign to accommodate all visitors, both media and consumer. Her accomplishments at Saatva also include designing branded multi-season sleep kits for PR, B2B and B2C campaigns, as well as Saatva’s print catalog. Shari began her PR career in the fashion industry at TSE, and subsequently held posts at Molton Brown, B&B Italia, Frette and The Rug Company.
