Brandon Borrman is the Vice President of Communications at Mozilla Corporation, the mission- led and non-profit backed tech company behind the Firefox browser. As VP of Communications, Brandon is responsible for shaping the global communications strategy and plan that supports Mozilla’s brand-building initiatives and long-term business goals. He oversees the global press, social media, editorial, partnerships and community teams to develop impactful messaging and outbound communications across the Mozilla brand. He has played a crucial role in shaping product announcements, brand-led summits and initiatives such as the Responsible AI Challenge at SXSW, which united the brightest technologists, business leaders and ethicists working on trustworthy AI, with a total of $100k awarded to participating developers building ethical AI solutions. He is also spearheading the current Reclaim the Internet event in celebration of Mozilla’s 25th anniversary, and the upcoming Rise 25 Awards ceremony – which will honor 25 people from around the world who are shaping the future of the internet with more ethical, responsible and equitable technologies. Prior to joining Mozilla, Brandon served as Head of Communications at a Web3 startup Alchemy as well as Head of Communications at Twitter, and also held communications posts at Ancestry, Quantcast, United Airlines and the Joele Frank and Brunswick Group.
