-Assist in developing strategic communication plans, including media opportunities, tactics, and timelines that are consistent with the overall PR strategy and that align with client goals
-Ensure that client objectives are met on time
-Manage team workflow and take ownership of account work while driving consistent, high-level media results
-Establish media strategy & secure media placements in top tier national + regional outlets across print, and online
-Nurture & expand media network consistently and maintain constant awareness of changing media landscape
-Monitor and identify trends/hot topics and competitive landscapes in design and lifestyle industries
-Write/edit press releases
-Maintain regular client communication
-Identify and forge relationships with relevant strategic partners and industry
-Manage and oversee (1) coordinator who handles the editorial calendars, Compiles monthly editorial/clipping reports, as well as reviewing their pitches
-Must have contacts and relationships at shelter/design/architecture and lifestyle titles
-Must have a solid understanding/interest of home, design, lifestyle, hospitality, restaurant trends and industry
-Must have established relationships with key market, design and style editors
-Strong understanding of brand positioning
-Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Art History, Interior Design or a related field
-Must have agency experience
-Must be highly motivated with a willingness to learn and function in a fast-paced environment
-Must have outstanding communication and writing skills
-Ability to think strategically and structured
-Must be a proactive team player with strong social skills
-Strong computer skills including Outlook, Excel, and Powerpoint, FGPS, Cision
