Karla Otto Inc. is a leading public relations agency with offices in Milan, Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Beijing. We are currently seeking part-time and full-time interns in our New York pressroom and showroom located in Chelsea in Manhattan. Interns will be assisting our New York based beauty press department.
Interns will learn to:
-Create directory of global beauty press
-Attend client meetings and engage in new client research in the US and Europe
-Attend select industry events with VP
-Track and scan editorial credits, create editorial reports and analyze coverage
-Fulfill sample requests, maintain product inventory and organize beauty sample closet
-Manage invitation and RSVP lists using Fashion GPS and assist at events
-Research beauty brands in the US and Europe
This educational experience will provide exposure to the full life cycle of a fashion and beauty public relations agency with multiple international offices. Skills learned at Karla Otto Inc. can be applied to other industries. Ideal internship candidates will have strong verbal and written communication skills and organization skills as well as a great work ethic, ability to work efficiently, and a can-do attitude. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain insight into the exciting and fast-paced world of beauty public relations. A passion for skincare, color cosmetics, fragrance and haircare is a prerequisite. Experience in PR and/or beauty is a plus.
