As a PR Intern at Nike Communication, we will provide both formal and on-the-job training to our interns. The formal training includes using specialized databases to build media lists; how to conduct media relations from print to digital using proven pitching techniques, and managing time and priorities.For the on-the-job portion, we assign each intern to her/his own supervisor/mentor. That person will brief interns on their client's PR plan--strategy, tactics, objectives, target audience and key messaging. You and your Mentor/Account Executive will then develop a series of meaningful goals and projects to make your PR experience productive and rewarding. And once underway, your supervisor will review your deliverables, reset priorities if necessary and provide ongoing direction and constructive feedback. We encourage you to set ambitious goals; we supervise and mentor you so you can succeed.
Candidates should have good writing skills, outstanding verbal and interpersonal skills, a strong interest in marketing, and a high level of motivation.This is an internship for credit and a stipend will be provided for travel and transportation.
