Here's what we are looking for:
We are currently seeking candidates for a Director level position in our Spirits practice, which includes a number of brands within a global portfolio. Our ideal candidate would have strong account management experience, stellar media relations skills with strong contacts, creative writing skills and a deep understanding of cultural and lifestyle trends. While an extensive background in the spirits industry is ideal, candidates should have some familiarity with category. This person should be a strategic and creative thinker, have strong leadership, client relations and financial management skills; with a knack for garnering the respect and counsel from client and team members. They should also have the capability to perform a wide range of duties including the development of client programs, strategic planning, staff development and financial management. This person, working under a Vice President will serve as key liaison with clients, account and interagency teams

Responsibilities:
-Work with the Vice President on strategic planning and development and management of multiple programs and budgets
-Development of Public Relations programs that include Earned Media, Paid Media, Influencer and Trade
-Serve as a key liaison between US and Global clients and inter-agency teams
-Serve as lead day-to-day client contact, managing four brands and overseeing additional projects and brand activations simultaneously
-Project management across multiple agency partners: set deliverables, timelines, and assign roles and responsibilities for team members across all projects
-Finalize/review/edit press materials including but not limited to: fact sheets, press releases, boiler plates, interview briefing documents
-Manage and provide guidance to team of seven
-Coordinate logistics for events and activations with the larger IAT creative agencies
-Oversee cocktail shoots and video shoots on behalf of brands
-High level media pitching required
-Field media inquiries and interview requests on behalf of the brand; provide final review of all media facing materials/Q&A/Etc.
-Coordinate and manage all C-Level Executive media interviews
-Oversee content capture/creation ensuring brand messaging is priority, along with editorial quality
-Oversee ongoing News Bureau/media outreach across brandsOversee lifestyle influencer execution to ensure DISCUS compliance
-Manage and execute spirits influencer and paid editorial partnerships
-Evaluate/vet opportunities for sponsorships, partnerships, etc.
-Lead and review measurement analysis and work with the team to deliver in-depth recaps following each program
-Keep up-to-date on client industry news and trends
-Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing or a related field
-8+ years of experience in a public relations agency or similar position in a non-agency setting
-Strategic thinker (sees the big picture); experience building brands, able to define and create media/marketing/activation strategies
-Demonstrated full range of communications knowledge and network of relationships to achieve clients’ business goals
-Proficiency in writing and editing materials including proposals, strategy documents, messaging, correspondence, blogs, social media content, and reports (must be proficient in Power Point and/or keynote)
-Solid media relations experience, with extensive network of contacts
-A huge plus would be someone with thorough understanding of spirits, music and pop culture– media, bloggers, thought leaders, tending artists and competitive landscape
-Advanced understanding of emerging channels such as social media, video, and content partnerships in relation to media mix
-Comfort negotiating press worthy partnerships, maximizing value for all parties, and executing deliverables
-Ability to create and present program recommendations and sell into clients when appropriate
-Ability to work across multiple offices on a multifaceted team
-Experience interfacing with and counseling senior level client contacts
