We are seeking a special talent and PR rock star — an Account Supervisor in our New York office with specific expertise in beauty, fitness and wellness. The Account Supervisor will be responsible for managing the beauty, grooming and wellness accounts, providing ongoing client counsel, developing strategic and creative campaigns, and working with the Vice President to drive new business growth. The Account Supervisor will lead work from concept to execution, present ideas to clients, and mentor junior talent.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES will include but are not limited to:
Media relations with key national, regional, digital and broadcast outletsCommunicate directly with the client during team meetings and in day-to-day project management
Develop long-term plans and program recommendations, while also proactively bringing strategic and creative ideas beyond the approved plan to clients
Develop and review high-quality written materials, including press releases, pitches, planning documents and bylined articles
Conceptualize and execute experiential events, media launches and press trips
Supervising the work of junior team members by setting priorities, delegating responsibilities and maintaining deadlines
Staying current on industry trends
B.S./B.A. in public relations, communications or related field
4-6+ years of media relations experience, preferably in beauty, grooming and wellness fields; agency experience is a must
Track record of successfully developing media strategies, identifying story angles, developing press materials and securing top-tier coverage for clients
Exceptional judgment when working with media, team members, client contacts and vendors
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership and motivation skills
