DESCRIPTION:

The PR Net, the premier network for marketing communications professionals, seeks a director of community and partnerships. This role will be focused on the growth of the organization via special events and programs, membership, and brand partnerships. The Community & Partnerships Director will leverage our existing network in the US, Canada and UK, as well as their own network, to build out growth avenues for The PR Net. 

Ideally the candidate will have worked for another members’ organization or a media outlet, but other marketing / sales / PR- related experience will also be relevant. The successful candidate must have knowledge of the marketing and communications industry, have established relationships with brands and agencies, with experience in events and conferences a big plus. 

Responsibilities

  • Pitch, execute and report on existing and prospective brand partnerships, including ‘Future Focus’ our annual industry conference
  • Run events programs in new markets, developing new member and partner prospects
  • Ensure member retention and satisfaction, working alongside our editorial and community managers
  • Consistently work to build and update our database of members and prospects, as well as brand partners and collaborators
  • Expand our existing agency business referral programIdentify areas of opportunity to develop special projects and programming
  • Run new programs for the community such as Tech Demo Day
  • Engage current members and local ambassadors to promote The PR Net
  • Identify leads, funnel leads, enroll members and corporate/partner members
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 7+ years related experience in marketing, PR, sales, or events
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Articulate negotiator and resourceful problem solver
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Canva, G Suite Apps, MS Office and CRMs such as HubSpot a big plus

This role is ideally for someone New York based (or adjacent); however, it is remote and with a very flexible schedule. Some in-person meetings will be required, and it is an option to be in office 2 days a week, if preferred.

Compensation

$120-140k salary (dependent on experience), plus commission based on achieved targets.
