Description:
Camron is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic communications strategist to play a leading role on a New York-based team working at the intersections of architecture, real estate, travel, urban design and beyond. This person will become deeply integrated into client work, building and managing strategies and balancing day-to-day priorities across the team and portfolio.
The ideal candidate for this role is intelligent and curious, with experience and a passion for architecture, real estate, travel, hospitality, and interests in culture, the arts, and design-led business.
This role is for a team that specializes in strategic communications, working both in media relations/PR and sophisticated communications audits, strategic advisement, messaging, crisis communications, and more. Success on this team requires a commitment to teamwork and collaboration, as well as a passion for mentoring and supporting junior staff.
This role requires impeccable writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to quickly turn around written materials, including strategies, press releases, client reports, and more.

Responsibilities
Strategy
- Develop and execute creative brand strategies
- Strategize and oversee press announcements
- Conduct market research for strategy development and support in the drafting of strategies
- Create client presentations, new business strategies, and press releases
- Read industry-relevant magazines and share findings with the agency and team
- Lead creative brainstorms and manage team-wide brainstorms
Client Management
- Manage the day-to-day of strategic and tactical work across a diverse portfolio of clients
- Quickly intake and feedback on client plans, products, and launches, providing critical feedback
- Manage logistics for client events, from vendor coordination to managing rsvp/check-in team
- Manage media monitoring, delivering results to clients
- Manage weekly and monthly status reports for clients
Media Relations
- Maintain relationships with media, and serve as day-to-day contact for media
- Generate feature placements across print and digital outlets
- Develop pitch ideas, pitch press, and secure media coverage
- Manage the development of customized media grids and lists to support editor pitching
Leadership
- Engage, train, and support other employees on the team on the key elements they need to understand and deliver to be effective at their jobs, and to support their growth
Requirements:
- 5+ years public relations experience, with agency experience preferred
- An understanding of the architecture, design, travel, and/or real estate development ecosystem
- Familiarity with key topics, market drivers, and thought leaders affecting the built environment today
- Experienced client lead and project manager--easily breaks complex projects into their component parts and then executes each piece
- Caring manager who has overseen multiple direct reports and helped to grow their careers
- Team player with the ability to manage both up and down--from senior leadership to interns
- Quick and precise writer and editor
- Confident speaker and presenter
- Curious and informed reader with a deep interest in news, trends, and events in the designer culture space

- Compensation for this role is based upon experience, qualifications, location, and education and typically ranges from $95,000-$105,000.
