JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an energetic Account Executive with 1 - 2+ years of New York City PR experience to join our team. In this position, you’ll work on a rapidly growing list of acclaimed hospitality clients ranging from restaurants and luxury hotels, to gourmet grocery stores, wineries and more. Candidates must have strong written and verbal skills and a passion for the hospitality, travel, and culinary industry. Familiarity with social media influencers in the lifestyle and food space is also desired. This individual must thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous environment. SCOPE OF WORK

• Serve as the day-to-day support for multiple clients, managing both strategy and execution, often anticipating client needs to ensure all accounts are on-target with each clients’ respective business objectives
• Drive execution of communication strategy, including pitching of consumer hospitality, travel, lifestyle and trade media, securing high-impact placements on a regular basis
• Conduct proactive and reactive media pitching; seek out creative ideas and opportunities; identify and cultivate story ideas
• Liaise with JAC social media consultant to keep apprised of updates and analyze social media campaign performance and adjust strategies as needed to optimize results
• Participate in client meetings and prepare agendas as well as serve as an information leader, demonstrating industry or media-driven knowledge that directly and indirectly affects the client
• Create comprehensive annual strategic plans, press releases, and pitches
• Maintain and continually develop strong relationships with consumer, lifestyle and industry media and influencers
• Identify and manage outreach to top influencers and content creators and coordinate invites to events
• Monitor and collect press coverage for clients
• Create bimonthly reports for clients
• Assist in managing interns by facilitating teamwork and learning opportunities

Requirements:

SKILLS | REQUIREMENTS

• PR experience, prior internships or 2+ years agency experience preferred
• Passion for luxury hospitality and travel brands
• General understanding of the New York City restaurant and hospitality industry as well as the travel industry
• Strong familiarity with social media influencers in the lifestyle, food, and travel space
• Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
• Displays a sense of urgency, ownership and drive to get things done
• Diligent attention to detail
• Ability to communicate ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to adapt and work on multiple projects
• Strong time management skillsEnergetic, self-directed, and self-motivated
• Must be able to occasionally work night/weekend hoursProficiency with Google Workplace, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MuckRack, and Adobe
