Description:

We are seeking a seasoned publicist with a specialization in design to manage intimate brand-hosted dinners, connecting prominent interior designers, architects, and key players in Miami’s design scene. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the local design community, including relationships with top designers, architects, showrooms, and media outlets. You will manage the full scope of public relations for these events, from ideation to execution.

This role offers the opportunity to work with high-profile brands and designers, creating meaningful experiences in Miami’s vibrant design scene.

Responsibilities

Event Planning & Coordination:

• Consultation and ideation for each event (potentially during local design activations such as AIA; Miami Design Showrooms; etc ).
• Liaise with venue, caterers, and vendors, and manage guest list of high-profile interior designers and partners.
• Layer event invites to involve additional strategic partners for broader brand engagement.

Public Relations & Media Outreach:

• Write and distribute press releases.
• Manage media invitations and coverage for each event.
• Coordinate social media buzz, overseeing content creation during the event.

Event Day Execution:

• Onsite management of public relations activities, including social media content creation and real-time event promotion.
• Manage media and VIP attendees.

Post-Event:

• Oversee photography/videography and creation of follow-up content to highlight event successes.
• Compile media coverage and social media analytics.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of PR experience, with a strong background in the design industry.
• Extensive knowledge of Miami’s interior design scene, including showrooms, architects, vendors, and media contacts.
• Proven track record of managing high-end events with attention to brand identity and aesthetics.
• Strong relationships with local media outlets and influencers.
• Experience managing social media campaigns and creating event content.

Rate: $1500-$2000 per event (negotiable based on experience) ; 40-60 hours per event commitment

Project Duration: 3 months - September to December
