We are seeking a PR and Partnership Manager to join our high-performing marketing team in a time of rapid expansion and growth. In this role, you'll own our affiliate program from strategy to execution, build out a strong influencer marketing network, conduct media relations outreach and strategic PR planning, and manage our calendar of cross-branding digital partnerships. You will serve as an expert in securing strong content partners whose brand and user base closely align with the values and aesthetics of AHA, and should have strong proven experience in affiliate marketing strategies, cross-branding digital partnership events, and effective influencer outreach. Furthermore, a deep knowledge of influential brands that align with the AHA lifestyle and some SQL tinkering is preferred. Media relations is also a key component of the role. Specifically cultivating and executing PR strategies, crafting daily pitches, liaising with the media to communicate around various AHA initiatives and messages, and managing brand/press events. One year past our IPO, AHA is looking to grow and scale a number of digital marketing channels quickly and profitably to become the number one marketplace for independent design. Key focus areas include leveraging the AHA brand and the stories of our unique independent designers on our marketplace to obtain rapid user growth, and a fast iteration of strategies to convert those users into loyal customers. While you'll be focused on growing our digital marketing and PR presence, you will also work closely with many other parts of the organization, including product, operations, and merchandising to help surpass our aggressive goals that will keep AHA and its community of designers growing fast, innovative, and most importantly keep the idea of Independent Design alive.
Your typical day includes:
• Day to day management of our PR and partnership efforts, our influencer network, and our affiliate program, ensuring we are positioned to exceed goals for new user acquisition/ROI as well as down-funnel customer retention and engagement.
• Ensuring successful partnership campaign events, including implementation partnership landing pages and the creation of a relevant onboarding communication plan
• Management and activation of our affiliate partners ensuring that all affiliates fit within the brand guidelines, and recruit them to drive new users to the AHA community
• Diving into the data to identify opportunities to continually test and optimize campaign and program performance
• Refining and maintaining dashboards for daily/weekly/monthly program monitoring, tracking and reporting of sales, new user visits, engagement, and email list growth
• Daily media relations and PR pitching outreach
• Crafting story ideas for features in the media, conducting product placement outreach
• Managing branding and press events from conception to execution
• Crafting of communications materials such as press releases, executive bios, and other marketing collateral as necessary
• Assisting with marketing planning and budget/goal/forecasting development and maintenance
• Staying up to date on the changing digital marketing landscape to apply ongoing knowledge of market trends, technology and best practices
• Ensuring collaboration and knowledge sharing with the broader teams inside and outside of marketing
This job might be for you if you:
• Did the college thing and earned at least a Bachelor’s Degree
• Have 2-3 years of hands-on PR, affiliate and influencer marketing experience in a results-driven marketing environment
• Have a track record of success in scaling and improving ROI across digital media channels, ideally for a B2C digital company.
• Love to keep up with the latest in the fast-changing PR, AdTech and branding landscape - always keeping an eye out for the next innovative way to break through the clutter and find actionable insights faster
• Have excellent communication, writing, project management, presentation, cross-functional collaboration and relationship building skills
• Highly proficient in Excel and pivots and v-lookups are bonus
• Are a huge believer and practitioner in the test, optimize, scale approach
• Possess excellent analytical, quantitative, organizational, negotiation, and prioritization skills • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where positive results are king
• Have a very keen eye for detail
• Exude positivity, a team attitude, a sense of humor and creative problem solving skills It would be awesome if you also have:
• Knowledge of Google Analytics and SQL
• Passion around unique and breakthrough design, technology, and/or marketplaces • Experience using an ESP
• Existing editor and influencer relationships
