Paul Wilmot Communications is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Public Relations Account Executive to join its expanding Fashion Division, which works across men’s and women’s fashion and accessories categories. The ideal candidate will support the team with new launches, on-going product placement, press previews, large and small scale events, and manage sample trafficking and reporting on behalf of our clients.

Over the course of the last 20 years, the agency has produced a significant public relations track record drawing from the highest profile fashion houses, prestige beauty brands, global consumer brands, retailers, and luxury lifestyle clientele. By cross-promoting within our divisions, PWC offers our clients access to new markets, thought leadership and increased visibility.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a variety of experience across fashion clientele, with a minimum of 3 – 4 years of professional work experience in these areas. This candidate will manage a comprehensive roster of editorial contacts spanning Assistant, Associate, Senior and Executive-level in the fashion and accessories media space as well as possess the proven ability to pitch and secure product placement and ongoing editorial coverage on behalf of clients.

Responsibilities include:

- Support team supervisor in maintaining aggressive account activity, using current PR plan as a framework

- Build out seasonal pitch cadences and spearhead new collection and product pitching while continually updating and monitoring status reports to ensure the team’s pitching efforts are on track

- Execute seasonal press strategies daily inclusive of pitching, media auditing, partnership building, and activation/event planning

- Generate media wins for client campaigns in trend and editorial stories, round ups and gift guides

- Develop and maintain media target lists for various clients and their differing projects and launches

- Manage scheduling of client calls and meetings, virtual and in-person desksides and appointments, and collection previews

- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communications skills, internally and externally, and present a level of discretion in interactions with editors, stylists, partners, and collaborators respecting embargo dates and NDAs

- Manage account team’s sample trafficking across multiple clients

- Support team with FOH production elements for events, campaign activations, fashion shows, and press trips

- Research and evaluate potential partnership opportunities for clients (including, but not limited to, speaking engagements, brand endorsements, influencer campaigns, events, etc.)

- Manage account team’s weekly or monthly media reporting using MuckRack, Cision, Google Alerts, Launchmetrics, DMR, etc.

- Uphold a strong understanding of social and digital media and its overall significance in today’s marketing landscape with an awareness of influencers of the moment and their content and relevance to different brands


- Ideally have up to 4 years of professional PR experience

- Have working knowledge of key fashion and lifestyle digital and print media with proven editorial relationships

- Thrive in an evolving global environment where no day is the same and no task is too big or small

- Highly developed sense of internal organization with excellent written and verbal communications skills and acute attention to detail

- Curious learner who has the ability to work confidently both independently and in close collaboration across departments

- Experience with media monitoring and events platforms like Cision, Muck Rack, Meltwater, Launchmetrics, Lefty and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace

The hiring compensation for this position ranges from $55,000 - $65,000. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
