What we want...

As the Agency PR Strategist at BMF, you will play a pivotal role in managing all media relations for our agency's leadership and diverse creative endeavors. You will be instrumental in crafting compelling narratives for award submissions and securing thought leadership opportunities such as panels and speaking engagements for various team members at key cultural moments like Cannes, SXSW, and more. This role requires developing strategic PR plans, building robust relationships with key media outlets, and ensuring BMF's innovative projects and achievements are recognized across the industry.

Media Relations

- Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets and journalists across B2B, MICE, Lifestyle, Travel, Fashion, etc. 

- Pitch stories, press releases, and features to relevant media contacts in relation to BMF’s work and accomplishments

- Proactively secure and coordinate interviews and media opportunities for BMF executives and prepare relevant materials such as talking points, bios, etc. 

Internal Comms Management

- Oversee strategic communications and positioning on behalf of BMF 

- Cultivate and sustain key relationships with senior-level team members across all disciplines of the organization

- Communicate and track award wins and press hits to the agency, and work with the social committee to ensure amplification across networks 

Awards

- Craft compelling award submissions, including writing detailed project descriptions, impact statements, and case studies 

- Work with agency teams to gather necessary supporting materials such as photos, videos, and testimonials

- Highlight BMF's achievements, innovations, and contributions in a persuasive manner

- Maintain an organized calendar of award deadlines, submission fees and all relevant dates

- Monitor the status of ongoing submissions and follow up as needed 

Thought Leadership

- Continuously monitor and research industry events where BMF leadership can participate

- Identify relevant speaking opportunities and panels that align with BMF’s expertise and strategic goals

- Identify trending topics and emerging issues in the industry that BMF can address

- Develop and propose topics for speaking engagements that highlight BMF’s insights, innovations, and successes

Ideation & Strategy

- Craft comprehensive PR strategies to enhance BMF’s visibility and reputation 

- Support cross-disciplinary projects/proposals/strategies in PR strategy/creative development and planning through a PR and integrated lens

- Able to craft exceptional narratives and brand messaging on behalf of clients across industries and for executive/C-suite level visibility

- Ideate and verbalize an innovative, multichannel approach to internal campaigns and goals

The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000 and is based on experience, responsibilities of the position, subject matter expertise and is location specific. 

Requirements:

- 5+ years’ experience leading B2B/trade accounts

- Creative and motivated by team success

- Strong strategy background as a big idea and tactical partner for clients

- Ability to craft and execute strategies incorporating PR, social media, influencer and experiential KPIs in planning

- Strong roster of media relationships in relevant tier A outlets

Ambitious strategist with a healthy balance of mentor and doer mentalities; Comfortable with “hands-on” management of tasks, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
