About the Job

BMF is currently seeking a self-motivated Account Executive to join our PR team with extensive experience across the hospitality, spirits, F&B, fashion and beauty categories, as well as strong press contacts. As part of an integrated, creative marketing agency, the ideal candidate will have an innate desire to network and stay on top of industry news and trends to drive progressive PR strategies, tactics, and programs. BMF’s PR department provides an opportunity to work cross-discipline and cross-industry, strengthening publicists’ skills as powerhouse communicators and strategists amongst a strong and close-knit team based in NY and LA. For this role, we are seeking NYC-based candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management

- Act as lead day-to-day client contact for select campaigns and media initiatives

- Contribute to / lead client calls

- Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with existing clients

- Ensure that client plans and strategies are being executed efficiently and in a timely manner

- Manage and execute client reporting

Media Relations

- Manage and aid in developing media lists, ensuring they include appropriate target contacts and correct information

- Maintain and establish relationships with top-tier lifestyle, travel, F&B, beauty, fashion and trade/B2B media outlets

- Develop releases, customer profiles, bylined articles, and other press materials

- Lead and oversee pitch teams and serve as counsel for further development of pitch strategies and approaches

- Deliver consistent press results in line with client goals surrounding product, venue and key business stakeholders and personalities (CEOs, brand ambassadors, spokespeople, executive chefs, etc.)

- Attend interviews, photo and video shoots and broadcast appearances with clients, when needed

- Maintain an active involvement in the industry in order to develop and maintain valuable relationships

- Attend appropriate industry events on behalf of client and agency; send recap report after event

Internal/Admin

- Oversee 1-2 junior staff to ensure efficient execution on client deliverables

- Ensure BMF social and agency marketing leads have up-to-date information on BMF clients and recent media coverage

- Monitoring and reporting on industry and client trends

- Support agency PR efforts to ensure coverage of BMF in key trades

Requirements:

- Minimum 2-3 years of PR experience at an agency.

- Ability to support multiple accounts, including client relations, managing up to supervisors and coaching juniors, with strong leadership and communication skills.

- A proven track record of consistently securing quality media placements across accounts.

- Experience executing integrated communications plans that align with, and achieve client goals, including launches and maintaining consistent coverage on products, brands, and venues.

- Have strong problem-solving and people skills.

- Excellent organization.

- Event press experience, specifically with high-profile sponsorships, brand-owned events, stunts, openings, education events and press/influencer FAM trips.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and media monitoring services such as Cision, Meltwater, etc. Experience with Keynote is a plus.
