The Director or Vice President of Digital Strategy for The Brandman Agency will lead the development and implementation of digital and social media strategies for all agency clients. This role involves crafting strategic content plans and campaigns, fostering influencer and partner collaborations, optimizing organic performance through targeted paid social campaigns, and ensuring exceptional client service. It requires expertise in social media strategy and execution, creativity, and the ability to cultivate client relationships. The ideal candidate will have proven success in team management and leadership, along with staying ahead of industry trends.

Responsibilities

- Work with agency account teams to understand the client's objectives and strategy, providing guidance and counsel to clients regarding digital strategy across all channels

- With deep platform knowledge, utilize social content/social media and targeted engagement techniques to drive strategic programs rooted in consumer insight

- Identify target audiences and analyze their characteristics, behavior and habits

- Demonstrate proven past experience with content curation, creation and editing (design, positioning, creative, copywriting, talent curation – photographers, videographers, etc.)

- Confidence in original content creation from content concepting to bringing it to life through production and art direction with a Brandman Creative photographer/videographer partner

- Manage online engagement activities to reach target audiences with compelling storytelling, holistic ideas, and content, ensuring alignment with client objectives and social KPI’s

- Support paid social media campaigns through content creation and copywriting with a deep understanding of Meta Ads Manager

- Execute and support social-first graphic design through collaborative tools like CanvaMonitor and spearhead community outreach, influence and engagement both reactively and proactively

- Track ROI and campaign success, evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns in order to inform future campaignsIdentify new and emerging digital trends to deliver best-in-practice results for clients

- Lead and mentor a team through project management, providing content support, and fostering growth

- Shape the social brand strategies across all relevant clients’ channels, presenting proposals (including cost) schedules and reporting throughout and after the campaign’s launch to clients

- Work with agency’s senior management team to proactively identify opportunities for growth from new and existing clients in the digital sphere 

- Contribute to new business ideation, strategic planning, and presentation efforts to drive continued growth

- Collaboration with PR team to ensure a cohesive and well-thought out approach to campaigns and ongoing social content support on a daily basis

Requirements:

- A minimum of 7 years of digital and social media experience working with hospitality and lifestyle brands

- A passion for real-time storytelling and experience social creative concepting across both photo and video format

- A strong pulse on timely social trends and knowledge of key trends both online and offline

- A deep understanding of measurement and reporting, experience with tools and analytics

- Extensive experience managing, motivating and leading account teams

- Adept at guiding and counseling clients as it relates to digital engagement efforts

- Ability to collaborate effectively with other agency capabilities to meet common goals

- Up-to-speed on latest technologies that can help deliver best-in-practice results for clients

- Detail-oriented, positive, and maintains a wide network of influential contacts within the digital industry 

- Familiar with project management tools like Asana and content calendar, reporting, and CRM tools like Agorapulse

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field 

Additional Experience

- Familiarity with Spark AR and the ability to create augmented reality concepts

- Proficiency in video editing using social platforms or tools such as CapCut

Salary Range: $100,000-120,000, commensurate with experience. This is a hybrid-role, with three days in our New York office (Tuesdays-Thursdays) and two days remote (Mondays and Fridays).
